PREGNANCY AND LACTATION :
No known restrictions according to the American Herbal Products Associationand the German E Commission, but controlled, long-term safety studies arelacking. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), ginseng root is included inprescriptions given during pregnancy, labor and postpartum.
Over stimulation and insomnia have also been reported with ginseng andanecdotal evidence suggests that excessive doses may mildly elevate bloodpressure and/or cause hyper sexuality.Safety in young children or individuals with severe hepatic or renal disease is notknown.
